A smile says a lot about a person’s personality. When your teeth are overcrowded, crooked, or gapped, it could cause a significant impact on your self-image and how others look upon you. Also, your teeth would be tougher to clean, which increases your risk of dental health problems, like tooth decay and gum disease.
ClearCorrect is a transparent aligner system used to straighten teeth and an alternative to traditional metal braces. Similar to other clear aligners, ClearCorrect braces straighten teeth using a series of clear, customized, removable aligners that steadily move teeth little by little at a time, eventually improving the teeth and smile to bring about a new, rejuvenated look.
ClearCorrect can be used to set right some orthodontic problems such as crowded teeth, overbites, underbites, spaces between teeth, etc.
ClearCorrect braces can treat both adults’ and teenagers’ teeth. Adults with more complex dental problems and children who do not have their molars formed may be ideal candidates for ClearCorrect braces. However, before opting for this procedure, one should consult with their dentists to determine if this treatment best suits their requirements.
If you are qualified for this procedure, digital impressions of your mouth are taken, and a series of aligners are fabricated in a dental lab. Each set of aligners have to be worn continuously for two weeks. At the end of the two weeks, the patient should switch to the next set of aligners in the sequence. The time gap between each phase of treatment allows for control and flexibility. A patient must wear the aligners dutifully for at least 22 hours per day, only removing them when eating, drinking, or brushing and flossing your teeth. Planned with aesthetics in mind, the aligners are barely visible and won’t impact your daily life.
After wearing each aligner set, the results will be increasingly noticeable as your teeth slowly adjust and align to your desired smile. Your dentist will regularly evaluate your progress and move you to the next batch of aligners. This sequence will be continued until you have achieved your new smile.
After the end of your treatment, you will be required to wear a retainer to stop your teeth from moving back into their prior places.
